Course Aim
Patients requiring palliative care comprise a significant component of the radiotherapy workload for most departments. Managing this patient group effectively to ensure optimum quality of life requires a complex set of skills. This course aims at providing participants with an understanding of the overall principles of both long term palliative care and end of life or terminal palliative care and to address, in greater detail, the specific scientific, technical, psychosocial and management issues relating to palliative radiotherapy.
Target Audience
The course is designed for RTTs, oncology nurses and (radiation) oncologists wishing to update their knowledge in the field of palliative care.
